Church of Sts Cyril and Methodius (former synagogue), Slovenské Nové Mesto
A former synagogue, a reminder of the village's once large Jewish community, now used as a Roman Catholic church.
Tokaj village in the Trebišov district
The largest of the seven villages, on the border opposite Hungary's Sátoraljaújhely, with a railway station and the start of a cycle route through the vineyards.
Until the border was drawn in 1920, Slovenské Nové Mesto was part of the Hungarian town of Sátoraljaújhely, and the two still face each other across the Ronyva stream. Today it is the most populous Tokaj municipality and a practical base: it has a railway station with trains from Košice, a border crossing for a day in Hungarian Tokaj, and the start of a marked cycle route through the vineyards towards Bara and Viničky.
A former synagogue, a reminder of the village's once large Jewish community, now used as a Roman Catholic church.
A village park with an open-air stage and a memorial to General M. R. Štefánik, who passed through by train on his way to the Russian front.
