For wineries, guesthouses and restaurants

Tokaj Slovakia aims to list every winery, cellar, guesthouse and restaurant in the seven villages of Slovak Tokaj, free of charge. Visitors use the guide to decide where to taste, eat and stay, so an accurate listing helps them find you and arrive at the right time.

Your free listing

Every business gets a basic listing, free and for good. It includes:

• the name, village and a point on the map
• contacts and a link to your website or online shop
• opening hours, or how to book a visit
• the type of tasting you offer and the languages you speak
• the date we last verified the details

We build listings from public business information: your own website, the regional tourism board, OpenStreetMap and public business registers. Family cellars run by private individuals are listed only with the owner's consent. Businesses near the region but outside the seven villages are marked "outside the delimited area".

Add, correct or claim a listing

All three are free and never depend on buying anything. Use the contact form and choose the matching type:

• Add a business if you are not listed yet.
• Correct a listing if something is wrong or out of date. Anyone can suggest a correction. We check it before publishing and reply within 7 days.
• Claim a listing if you run the business and want to look after its details.

To confirm that you run the business, we need either a message from an e-mail address on your business's own domain, or a call back to the phone number published on your website or in a public register. There are no user accounts or passwords: you tell us what to change, we update the listing and confirm it to you.

Once confirmed, you can change the factual details at any time: opening hours, contacts, tasting prices, languages, services and photos. The editorial text about your business stays ours, so that all listings remain fair and comparable. If you think it is wrong, tell us and we will look at it again. You can also ask us to hide your listing.

Every listed business may display our free "Verified listing" badge. A link back to us is never a condition of anything.

Partner packages (in preparation)

We are preparing paid Partner packages for 2027 together with the wineries, guesthouses and associations of the region, and we will publish the prices only after talking to them. A package may add things such as a photo gallery, a longer description in every language of the site, a booking or enquiry button and a yearly report of clicks to your website, phone and directions.

Whatever the final packages contain, the rules stay the same:

• everything paid is labelled "Partner";
• a package never moves you higher in lists, never changes our text and never buys a recommendation;
• adding a confirmed event to our calendar is always free;
• the first businesses to join will get a founding-partner discount.

The rules

• Partners are always labelled "Partner", and sponsored articles are labelled "Sponsored".
• Paying never moves you up a list. Lists are sorted by village and then alphabetically for everyone. Partners may also appear in one separate, labelled box.
• Paying never buys our editorial text, a rating or a "recommended" label.
• Links in paid features are marked as sponsored for search engines (rel="sponsored").
• Polish law bans the advertising of alcoholic drinks other than beer, so partner features of wineries are not shown on our Polish pages.
• The partnership year runs from 1 March to the end of February. You pay by bank transfer against an invoice. There is no automatic renewal: we ask you every year. If the project ends or the domain changes hands, we refund the unused part.

FAQ

Does a basic listing really cost nothing?

Yes, and it stays free. Correcting and claiming your listing are free too. We will never ask you to pay to fix your own details.

Will a Partner package move me higher in the list?

No. Every list is sorted by village and then alphabetically. Partners get a label and extra features, and Partner Plus businesses also rotate in one separate box marked "Partners".

How do you check that I run the business?

We accept a message from an e-mail address on your business's own domain, or we call you back on the phone number published on your website or in a public business register. Sometimes we confirm in person.

Can I write my own description?

You can update all factual details whenever you like. Our editors write the main description so that every listing is fair and comparable. Partners can add an extended description in their own words, shown as part of the labelled Partner features.

I make wine in my family cellar. Will you list me?

Only if you want us to. We list cellars belonging to private individuals only with their consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

My business is not in one of the seven villages. Can I be listed?

Yes, if it is useful to visitors to Slovak Tokaj, for example a guesthouse nearby. We mark it as outside the delimited Tokaj wine region and describe its wines as Tokaj wines only when the label carries the protected designation of origin.

Can I ask you to remove my listing?

Yes. Write to us through the contact form and we will hide it. Our privacy notice explains how we handle the details of listed businesses.

How do I pay for a package?

By bank transfer against an invoice, once a year. Packages can be ordered once the operator details are published on this page. Nothing renews automatically.
