The restored Renaissance manor where Francis II Rákóczi was born in 1676, now a museum with a hotel and restaurant.
The manor dates from the mid-16th century and was rebuilt in 1570; Francis II Rákóczi, leader of the last great anti-Habsburg uprising, was born here on 27 March 1676. After a restoration funded from Slovakia and Hungary, it reopened on 19 June 2021 with an exhibition on the Rákóczi family, a hotel, a restaurant, a VR room, an escape room and short panoramic films. Evening guided tours run on selected dates, and groups of up to 30 people can book a guide in advance. Borša is not one of the seven Tokaj villages, but it lies just beyond Viničky on the Bodrog and has its own railway stop.
