An open-cellar day in the Gazdovské pivnice of Veľká Tŕňa, where you taste directly with the growers, followed by concerts in the amphitheatre.
At the end of summer the cellar owners' association opens the tuff cellars of Veľká Tŕňa for an afternoon of tastings with the growers themselves, including natural and small-batch 'garage' wines. Concerts in the amphitheatre and regional food round off the day. In 2026 it took place on 29 August; the 2027 date has not been announced yet. Plan to arrive by train or stay overnight, since Slovakia has zero tolerance for alcohol when driving.
