Tokaj Harvest Festival
Čerhov · Every year on the last Saturday of September
Slovak Tokaj's main harvest celebration, held on the last Saturday of September in Čerhov, Malá Tŕňa and Veľká Tŕňa.
The harvest festival brings folklore groups and brass bands, crafts, Zemplín food and burčiak, the young fermenting wine, and tuff cellars that are normally closed open for tastings. A free shuttle runs between the three villages every 30 minutes, and in 2026 a historic 'Pantograf' train ran from Košice (08:30, arriving in Čerhov at 09:35) and back in the evening. The day before, runners take part in the Tokaj vineyard run in Čerhov. The 2027 festival is expected on 25 September under the last-Saturday rule, but the date has not been confirmed yet.
